Ancient Wagons

Ancient Wagon 1800 BC found from Ljashen, near the Lake Sevan basin Armenia. When the waters of Sevan started to recede the site opened up in the 1940s. The wagon is on display in the History Museum of Armenia in Yerevan. The Ancient Armenians were resourceful exporting, and trading was an essential part of an Armenians life during this period.

Possibly a trading cart for wine. Greek scholars Herodotus, Xenophon and Strabo described the river trade on the Tigris by Armenian merchants who exported their excellent wines downstream to the Assyrians and beyond.
