2012 AGBU Sayat Nova International Composition Competition
1st Prize: 2,500 €
2nd Prize: 1,500 €
3rd Prize: 1,000 €
Participation requirements:
•Birthdate must be after September 1, 1972.
•Composition for a chamber ensemble that includes six (6) instrumentalists (1 piano, 2 violins, 1 viola, 1 cello and 1 duduk), and one (1) vocal (spoken or sung) with a duration of 7-10 minutes.
•The work must include one quotation, in any form, from a text of Sayat Nova.
The winners’ works will be recorded and produced in concert on the occasion of the tercentenary celebrations of the birth of Sayat Nova, an anniversary celebration with which UNESCO is associated.
The deadline for submission is no later than September 1, 2012.
